Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
The safety and efficiency of your drive heavily rely on your vehicle’s tire pressure. The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) ensures that your tires maintain optimal pressure levels, which is crucial for your vehicle’s performance, fuel economy, and, most importantly, your safety.
TPMS continuously checks the air pressure in your tires, alerting you if any tire falls below the recommended pressure level. This is vital as inadequately inflated tires can compromise the overall performance of your vehicle and the safety of its passengers.
The TPMS can be broadly categorized into two types: Direct and Indirect.
While the Direct TPMS uses sensors inside the tire assembly to relay pressure information, the Indirect TPMS gauges tire pressure via your vehicle’s Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), measuring the rotational speed of each wheel.
